Update

In June 2026 the Antipoverty centre entered a submission into the Committee Inquiry into the NDIS "Securing the NDIS for Future Generations" Bill. The Antipoverty Centre, strongly opposed recommendations in this bill. For brevity, three main points were focused on; Ministerial Powers, Access to the scheme and Additional supports tests.

This is the Antipoverty Centre Submission into the Social Services "Technical Changes No. 2" Bill 2025. The Bill sought to give Services Australia more debt recovery power despite the harm they have already caused welfare recipients over the last 5-10 years due to their debt recovery activities.
