Don't let poverty mean silence.

Poverty is excluding people on the lowest incomes from processes that are about us. Money should not be a barrier to participating in protests, parliamentary hearings, royal commissions and other activism and advocacy.

We cover expenses like public transport fares, taxis, fuel, parking and meals to enable people in poverty to safely participate in these and similar activities. This is particularly crucial at a time when there are so many processes ongoing that are providing people an opportunity to have their experiences on the record. In 2023 we will support people to participate in inquiries into poverty, Workforce Australia, the cost of living and the Robodebt Royal commission.

The below figures are rough guides as to what we can cover with your donation, but you can contribute any amount that works for you.

You’ll be sent a receipt, however, although we’re a registered non-profit organisation, we don’t have Deductible Gift Recipient status. Donations are not tax deductible.
